Friendship Sisters - May 2011

The Friendship Sisters read and discussed "The Kitchen House" by Kathleen Grissom this month.  This is such a great book that both book clubs read it this month.  The character development is amazing and a must read for all book clubs.  Great discussion on characters, time period, and culture. 

Kathleen Grissom is currently writing the sequel to this novel and we cannot wait to read it!

Pam Throckmorton hosted our meeting and served a "Chocolate Mousse Tuxedo Cake".  When she was asked for the recipe her reply, "1-800 Dillons Bakery".  Too funny!  It was soooo good!

Next month we will be discussing "A Scattered Life" by Karen McQuestion.
